You will also need web hosting, which you almost certainly already have. Any plan that runs WordPress runs this. Check the requirements.
What the price doesn't cover
A pricing page that only lists what you get is a sales pitch. Here is the other half.
- Hosting. Yours to buy and yours to keep running. Expect £3–£10 a month for a shared plan that will run this comfortably.
- Installation. You do it, in about twenty minutes, with the installer walking you through it. We will help if it goes wrong.
- Backups. Most hosts include them; check that yours does before you rely on it.
- Third-party API keys. AI CV matching needs an Anthropic key and job search needs job-board keys. Both are optional and both are billed by those providers, not by us.
- Bespoke development. The source is yours to modify, but we do not take feature commissions.
How buying works
You pay Paddle, not us
Paddle.com Market Limited is the merchant of record. They take the payment, they calculate and remit any VAT or sales tax for your country, and your receipt comes from them. We never see your card details.
Your licence key and download arrive automatically
Normally within a few minutes of the payment confirming. The download link is emailed to you along with the key.
You activate it on one domain
The licence binds to a single production domain. You can release it and move it yourself up to 5 times a year — enough to cover changing host or rebuilding. Local and staging copies do not count.
It keeps working regardless
If our licence server is unreachable — or if we are hit by a bus — your install carries on running. There is no phone-home check that can switch your business off.
If it doesn't work, you get your money back
There is no free trial, which is exactly why the demo is the real application rather than a video. Click everything before you buy.
Our policy. If Fortan Software does not work on hosting that meets the published requirements, and we cannot resolve it with you, we will refund you in full within 14 days of purchase.
Your statutory rights. Consumers in the UK and EU normally have 14 days to cancel a purchase of digital content. That right is lost once the download begins, if you consented to immediate delivery at checkout — you will be asked to confirm that. If you have not yet downloaded, you keep the full 14-day right to cancel for any reason at all.
We may decline a refund where the software works as described and the request is a change of mind after downloading. The full wording is in the Terms of Service.

Common questions
Is this a subscription?
No. You pay once and the software is yours. There is no recurring charge and no seat count. Updates are included, and the app carries on working normally even if our licence server is unreachable.
What hosting do I need?
PHP 7.4 or newer with the pdo_mysql and mbstring extensions, and a MySQL database. That describes essentially every shared hosting plan sold today. curl, zip and openssl are optional and unlock AI matching, spreadsheet export and outgoing email respectively. The installer checks all of them and tells you what is missing before you commit to anything.
Can I try it before buying?
Yes — the demo is the real application with demo data in it, not a video or a click-through. Everything works. It resets itself every night, so you can change whatever you like.
How many sites can I use one licence on?

Where is my data stored?
In your own MySQL database on your own hosting. Uploaded files live in a media folder on the same server. None of it is copied to us — we could not read your client list if we wanted to.
